As teachers are working overtime setting up their classrooms for Back to School, we thought we would share some great ideas we’ve seen. Our Sherpas know how space is always an issue in many classrooms.
So, this week we bring you ways to use vinyl gutters in the classroom.
This creative teacher hack is also inexpensive and can be found at Home Depot, Lowes, or your local home improvement store. If you ask nicely, using your sweet teacher voice, sometimes the great staff at these places will even cut them for you! And, if they say it can’t be done, pull out your smart phone and share this post.
What’s the use?
Ms. Castellano, 3rd grade teacher at Houston Elementary in Austin, Texas submitted her use to the TeacherSherpa team. Having limited room in her portable for adding anymore large bookshelves, Ms. Castellano got creative with an area of “dead space”, and used a little chalkboard paint and vinyl gutters as a place to highlight books for the week. Nice job!
