FREE Mother’s Day Megapack
Mother’s Day is just around the corner and let’s face it, all mothers are superheroines. Mothres are the unsung heroes, the behind-the-scenes stage managers, and the wind beneath our students’ wings. Moms show up to soccer games, choir rehearsals, and spelling bees. They bake for fundraisers, serve on parent school boards, and give of their time, money, and attention even when they’re already spread too thin.
Moms are awesome.
And that’s why, we are so pleased to celebrate them in all their glory with totally new and creative teaching Mother’s Day resources that are NO PREP and ready to go in time for Mother’s Day.
These new Mother’s Day resources focus on all of the things mothers do that go unnoticed. On top of that, they help students to build empathy with a step by step brainstorm, writing, and reflection process. For example, take a look at the “A Day in the Life” literacy center.

This literacy center helps students to brainstorm what life is like for their mother, assists them in writing a short story through her eyes, and gives them a chance to reflect upon what they can do to lighten her load.
It’s counterpart, the “My Mom’s Perfect Day” literacy center helps students to think about what they would do for their mother if they had $1,000,000 to spend on her Mother’s Day and then leads them to think about small changes they can make each day to make her feel appreciated. Talk about a win for Mother’s Day.

My Mom, the Superheroine
So, anything Marvel is bound to catch your students’ attention. I mean, come on, you can’t go five minutes on your social media feeds without a reference to the Avengers.
So why not use that enthusiasm to shine the spotlight on the real heroes with these activities for Mother’s Day.

Yup, your students get to design their own Avenger Profile for their mother complete with superpowers and super gear. Can’t you just imagine their faces?
“Hey guys, today we’re doing a writing project about… THE SECRET AVENGER!” (class erupts in cheers)
Or, for a lighter time commitment, some cute Avenger-themed Mother’s Day cards.
